Here are our "Sensational 7" family adventures for an unforgettable holiday that will delight not only the little ones but also the big kids.
1. A Perfect Beach Day
Imagine spending a relaxing day at the beach: Madeira's beaches are very family-friendly. We recommend Calheta Beach, just an 8-minute drive from the Hideaway, or the magical black sand beach in Seixal. These beaches are perfect for splashing, building sandcastles, and soaking up the sun. Pack the beach bag we've already prepared for you and enjoy your time together by the sea. The kids will love playing in the warm sand and swimming in the crystal-clear water.
2. Anjos Waterfall
The magnificent Anjos Waterfall in Ponta do Sol is a real highlight. The waterfall flows directly into the sea, offering a spectacular backdrop. Kids, both big and small, love playing in the cool water and exploring the surroundings. It's the perfect spot for a refreshing adventure and great family photos! Please note that the road is now only open to residents, so park your car and take a short walk to the waterfall.

Pro tip: Always bring a jacket as it can be cool and damp on the plateau.
4. Whale and Dolphin Watching

6. Basket Sled Ride from Monte to Funchal
